After traveling to the region with his family, Pence said President Donald Trump is hopeful that China will now use its ‘extraordinary levers’ to pressure the North to abandon its nuclear and ballistic program.

Seoul was Pence’s first stop on a four-nation tour in Asia. Second nation that he visited is Japan!

While speaking in front of our troops he promised North Korea that the U.S. military would make an “overwhelming and effective” response to any use of conventional or nuclear weapons. Pence spoke on board the USS Ronald Reagan, docked in Japan!

The US will counter any North Korean attack with an “overwhelming and effective” response, Vice President Mike Pence has said.

North Korea is the most dangerous and urgent threat to peace and security in the Asia-Pacific,” he told the audience of American and Japanese military personnel.

He pledged to “defeat any attack and meet any use of conventional or nuclear weapons with an overwhelming and effective American response”.

Pence’s comments come after a warning by a senior North Korean official that his government plans weekly tests and an “all-out war” if the US takes any action against it, and has no intention of going slow on its missile programme.

North Korea did test a missile on Sunday, but by US and South Korean accounts it failed “within seconds.”

The US played its own part in the tensions with surprise bombing action in Syria and Afghanistan, which Pence held up Wednesday as proof of US resolve.

“The enemies of our freedom and this alliance would do well not to test the resolve of this president or the capabilities of the armed forces of the United States of America and our allies,” Pence said.

Thank God we finally have leaders who know how to lead!

And let’s also point out the fact that Vice President Mike Pence is out in Japan and Korea and China and everywhere else securing major deals for us. He is so dedicated that he spent Easter flying to South Korea!
