Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot Caught On Live Mic Calling Police Union Leader A ‘Clown’ (Video)

Chicago Democratic Mayor Lori Lightfoot caught the attention of the American public last month when she refused to cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as it seeks to deport illegal immigrants in cities across America.

She said that her city has permanently banned U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement from accessing the Chicago Police Department’s databases ahead of looming ICE raids to detain undocumented immigrants.

She is in a constant battle with the Chicago police union, the battle started since Smollet’s case and it seems it’s not over.

On Wednesday, during a Chicago City council meeting, new Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot was caught on a live mic calling the vice-president of the Fraternal Order of Police a “clown.” As Fox 32 reported, “As Patrick Murray got up to speak, Lightfoot could be heard saying, ‘Oh, back again, this FOP clown.’”

The mayor later apologized and said she should not have made the remarks out loud.

Murray was at the council meeting to support the officers who were fired by the police board last week for their involvement in the Laquan McDonald shooting.
