Folks, we’ve got some big news coming out of President Trump’s first post-election interview with NBC. In a move that’s sparking discussions far and wide, President Trump has dropped a bombshell proposal that could change the face of North America aIn a groundbreaking post-election interview with NBC, President Donald Trump took the nation by storm with his proposal to make Mexico and Canada the 51st and 52nd states of the United States. Here’s the context: “We are subsidizing Canada to the tune of over a hundred billion dollars a year. We’re subsidizing Mexico for almost $300 billion,” Trump stated. His argument? If the U.S. is going to subsidize these countries, why not bring them into the fold as states?

Now, while the President might be onto something, let’s not sugarcoat the situation. There’s a better approach. Instead of making them states, perhaps it’s time to cut them off, cold turkey. These countries have been benefitting from our generosity for too long. If they want to join the American family, they need to bring more to the table than just headaches.
Cut Them Off:
No More Free Rides: We’ve been propping up these economies for years. It’s time they stand on their own two feet. If they want our help, they need to show what they can offer in return.
Security Concerns: Adding more land to secure, dealing with drug cartels, and managing increased crime rates – does this sound like a deal worth making?
Voting Rights: Should these countries become states, would they automatically gain voting rights? That’s a slippery slope. They’d be influencing our elections, potentially skewing the balance of power.
As they stand today, these countries could be classified as, let’s just say, less than ideal in terms of political alignment. Bringing them in as states might just turn our conservative, patriotic America into something resembling what one might call “liberal shtholes.”
Instead of expanding our nation in this manner, we should demand that if Canada and Mexico want to keep receiving our support, they need to clean up their act. They need to tackle their internal issues, secure their borders, and perhaps even offer some strategic benefits to us, like access to resources or military bases.
Let’s be clear, this isn’t about hating our neighbors. It’s about America First. It’s about ensuring that if we’re going to help, it’s because we’re getting something worthwhile in return, not just more debt, more borders to secure, and more problems to solve.
President Trump’s idea is bold, but perhaps the real solution lies in a firm, tough-love approach. Let’s stop the subsidies unless they come with strings attached that benefit the U.S. directly. If they want to be part of America’s future, they need to prove they’re worthy of the honor.
