Would-Be Robbers Made Their Move On A Concealed Carrying Senior Citizen In Chicago – Learned A Lesson They Will Never Forget

A concealed carry holder shot two teenagers who were trying to rob him Monday morning in Austin, according to Chicago police.

The man, 56, was in his car in the 4700 block of West Arthington Avenue when three teens approached in another car just before 6 a.m., police said.

The incident unfolded around 6 a.m. in the city’s west side when a vehicle with “three males inside” approached the victim, who was inside his own vehicle, Chicago Police told Fox News Digital in a statement.

“One of the individuals got out of the vehicle, pointed a firearm at the victim and demanded his belongings,” police said.

“A struggle ensued before the victim,” whom police say legally owned a firearm and was a concealed carry license holder, “withdrew his weapon and fired several rounds.”

Chicago Police say “The offending vehicle then attempted to flee, but crashed nearby.”

The teen who was driving was struck in his head and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.

Another teen was located several blocks away with a gunshot wound to his shoulder. He was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, police said.

The third teen broke his leg in the crash and was transported to a hospital in fair condition, police said.

All three teens are believed to be between 15 and 18 years old, police said.

The man was not injured in the incident.

One neighbor heard the noise of gunshots and the crash.

“It was like a train got hit,” neighborhood resident Kevin Jones said, according to WBBM-TV.
