A State GOP Group Shares Then Deletes Meme Calling Four Democratic Congresswomen ‘The Jihad Squad’

The fight between the GOP and “the Squad” is not over, in fact, the things are getting out of control with both sides using insulting words for each other.

President Trump stood by his comments about the congresswomen, saying that they should leave the U.S. if they are unhappy. He did, however, distanced himself from the “send her back” chants, saying that he disagreed with them.

Ilhan Omar said that President Donald Trump is a “racist” who wants all minorities “deported and Muslims banned.”

“You all should end this charade and accept that this racist president wants every black/brown person deported and Muslims banned,” Omar tweeted Saturday night

Most of the Democratic party defended the Squad and attacked President Trump and the GOP. Except for a couple of RINOs, the GOP sided with the President.

The Illinois Republican County Chairmen’s Association (IRCCA) shared and later apparently deleted a movie poster-style meme labeling four Democratic minority congresswomen the “Jihad Squad.”

The post was shared on the group’s Facebook page early Saturday morning and featured images of Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass) and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.).

The “Jihad Squad” label is a reference to the fact they often refer to themselves as “the squad.” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) also referred to the women as “the squad” in a recent interview.

“POLITICAL JIHAD IS THEIR GAME,” reads all-caps text on the fake poster. “IF YOU DON’T AGREE WITH THEIR SOCIALIST IDEOLOGY, YOU’RE RACIST.”

On Sunday evening, the association’s president, Mark Shaw, apologized and announced that the post had been taken down. It is unclear if the poster was created by the organization, but its logo was featured on the image.

“A couple of days ago, an image which was not authorized by me was posted on the Facebook page of the Illinois Republican County Chairmen’s Association,” Shaw wrote in a statement. “I condemn this unauthorized posting and it has been deleted. I am sorry if anyone who saw the image was offended by the contents.”

The post, Shaw added, “is an unfortunate distraction from the serious debate surrounding the policies advocated by these four socialist members of the United States House of Representatives of which I strongly disagree.”
