You have to wonder if the stars aligned a little too perfectly when CNN journalists, crashing at a hotel near Providence’s airport, got ringside seats to a major break in the Brown University shooting. Early Sunday morning, around 4 a.m., they were jolted awake by pounding doors and shouts of “Open up!”—turns out, it was a full-on raid by 20+ police, U.S. Marshals, and FBI agents detaining a person of interest in Saturday’s massacre that left two students dead and nine injured. A CNN photojournalist was among the guests, witnessing the chaos firsthand, as confirmed by a Rhode Island law enforcement official. But with no name, face, or motive yet, questions are flying: coincidence, or something more orchestrated?
The shooting hit the Barus & Holley engineering building at 4:05 p.m. during a finals review session—no classes in session, just a small group of students cramming. The gunman in black burst in, fired indiscriminately, then bolted down Hope Street. Brown’s initial lockdown alert was swift, but the response? A mess. For hours, no suspect description, no photos, no video—despite red-light cams at every corner and building security everywhere on that affluent East Side. C_3C_3 posted blurry footage of the aftermath, showing tape and chaos but no shooter visuals.

So…
Brown University releases footage from the worst angle possible that doesn’t show the shooters face 6 hours after the shooting.
There are over 800 cameras on campus.
This is all they got?

Brown’s president got roasted for a presser where she admitted knowing “absolutely nothing”—no why the students were there, no victim updates, just platitudes.

Her salary is $3.1 million and the Brown University President has no idea what happened 6 hours after the shooting.

Police fared no better, with Nick Sortor calling out the vagueness: “It’s been HOURS. This is wild.” Video:
🚨 BREAKING: Providence Police says they have NO VIDEO of the Brown University shooter inside the building
Nor do they know how he ENTERED the building, or where he went

AutismCapital questioned the “normal” vibe: nothing about it adds up, from the timing to the single classroom hit. Rach4Patriarchy added, “The shooter is NOT in custody and is still ACTIVE.”
Where are all the posts from the Brown University students? How are their eyewitness accounts not spreading all over social media? They're all shelter in place with their phones, why aren't these stories getting out there? Do they not use X? Shouldn't they be rushing to speak? https://t.co/9hX15WsEQn

So there was a mass casualty shooting at Brown University today and the hundreds of cameras on campus only got pictures of the back of a suspect. The president of the university still doesn’t know what happened and everyone had a phone in their hand, but there’s no footage?

The hotel raid feels off—CNN “just happening” to be there, breaking the story? With Brown’s woke culture and pro-Palestine protests, speculation’s rife: was this targeting Jewish professor Rachel Friedberg, or a radical’s revenge? Two lives lost, nine scarred, and a shooter loose hours later? Providence PD needs to explain the delay—cameras don’t lie, but silence does.
