Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson just went on television and flat-out admitted he’s deliberately discriminating against white men when hiring for city jobs. No dog whistles. No spin. Just straight-up confession on camera.
“I’ve been very intentional about making sure that my administration, unlike previous administrations, have people who work for me that reflect the community,” Johnson said. “Once upon a time, just to be very blunt with you, two administrations ago, 70 percent of the mayor’s administration were white men, right? And that’s just not a diversified approach, I believe.”

There it is — on live TV, the mayor of one of America’s biggest cities proudly announcing he’s purging white men from city government to hit his racial quotas. Not based on merit. Not based on qualifications. Based purely on skin color.
This is the same guy who’s turned Chicago into a crime-ridden disaster zone. Under his watch, the city keeps bleeding residents, businesses are fleeing, and violence is out of control. But instead of fixing the streets or keeping people safe, he’s obsessed with making sure the bureaucracy matches his DEI checklist.
President Trump has been calling this out for years: the radical left’s war on merit and equal treatment is destroying America’s cities. They don’t want the best people for the job — they want the “right” skin color and the right politics. Trump believes in hiring the most qualified Americans, period. No race-based discrimination. No anti-white bigotry dressed up as “diversity.”
Johnson’s own words are a gift to every civil rights lawyer in the country. This is textbook illegal discrimination under the Civil Rights Act. The Department of Justice and state attorneys general should be all over this. But in blue-city America, they’ll probably just shrug and call it “equity.”
Meanwhile, Chicago residents — including plenty of Black families who just want safe neighborhoods and good schools — are the ones paying the price for this incompetence and racism. When you hire based on race instead of competence, you get worse results. Every single time.
This is what happens when Democrats run things unchecked. They openly practice the very discrimination they scream about when it happens to anyone else. White males? Open season. Merit? Out the window. Competence? Who needs it when you can virtue-signal?
Trump’s America First agenda is the antidote: treat every American equally, reward hard work, and stop the race-obsessed nonsense that’s tearing the country apart. No more government-sanctioned bigotry — against anyone.
Johnson just proved the point in the most blatant way possible. The mask is off. And Chicago is paying for it.
