The already crowded field includes Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI), Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Beto O’Rourke … feel tired yet? That’s not even the entire pool of people. Others include Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and Eric Swalwell (D-CA).
Even with all of those names, we still haven’t even begun to scratch the surface. There are a total of 21 Democrats running and more are expected to announce campaigns.
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio reportedly will enter the already crowded Democratic presidential primary field as early as next week.
The New York Daily News reported the mayor’s announcement will happen next week, “according to four sources with knowledge of the plans.”
De Blasio could use the occasion of his 58th birthday on May 8 to enter the race, two sources said.
“De Blasio’s federal political action committee, Fairness PAC, recently polled Iowa voters. The PAC also bankrolled the mayor’s recent travel to key early voting primary states, including trips to Nevada, Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina,” according to The Daily News.
At a news conference on Thursday, the mayor demurred when asked about a potential presidential bid, only saying he would be making his decision this month, the New York Post reported.
A Quinnipiac University poll released last month revealed that 76 percent of New York Democrats do not want De Blasio to run in 2020.
The mayor has also been taking a beating on Twitter where many have pointed to his unpopularity as a reason he should sit on the sidelines in 2020.
“The funny thing about Bill de Blasio is: everyone hates him. Everyone. In his own city,” tweeted New Yorker and National Review critic-at-large Kyle Smith.
The former New York Post film critic continued, “It’s one of the few bipartisan points of agreement: ‘De Blasio is such a weenie.’”

Literally never heard a single New Yorker say “I love Bill de Blasio”

Bill de Blasio does have a path to victory, but it involves him surviving a virus that kills off 99% of the population.

Bill De Blasio deeply hates being mayor and wakes up in a cold sweat every day from uneasy dreams of a seething blue lives matter tweet from some NYPD Sergeants Union account, and sincerely believes the only way out left for him is to become President of the United States.

The list is endless all in all Twitter users had good laugh on Bill’s attempt to run for President!
