At least nine people have been killed and 16 wounded in a mass shooting in Dayton, in the US state of Ohio, according to police.
The incident in the early hours of Sunday came just hours after a mass shooting in El Paso, Texas.
Authorities responded quickly to the shooting, first reported at 1 a.m., and said police are regularly present in the crowded district popular with tourists and locals.
Police confirmed they killed the gunman at the scene within a minute of him opening fire.
Police said that the suspected gunman’s 22-year-old sister is among those where were shot to death.
The name of the shooter is Connor Betts.
They say his 22-year-old sister, Megan, was the youngest of the deceased victims, who were all killed in the same area. The others were adults ranging in age from 25 to 57.
