Yesterday two brave American senators Sen. Ted Cruz and Sen. Bill Cassidy have introduced a bill that would declare Antifa a terrorist organization.
“Antifa is a domestic terror organization. This is a group of hateful, intolerant radicals pursuing their extreme agenda through violence.
“They are masked bigots, attacking others b/c they don’t agree with their ideas. The time to stop Antifa is NOW!” Sen. Cassidy said.
It seems that this was just the beginning because Officials in Portland, Oregon, are considering a ban on the wearing of masks during protest events, in response to the violent clash that took place in the city between Antifa and right-wing groups.
Portland Police Chief Danielle Outlaw was the first to call for anti-mask regulations following the assault of conservative journalist Andy Ngo by Antifa protesters on June 29, The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.
“A lot of people are emboldened because they know they can’t be identified,” Outlaw said to reporters at a press conference.
Democratic Mayor Ted Wheeler “wants to weigh his options thoroughly and hear concerns from community leaders before making a decision,” according to Park.
The policy is a violation of the First Amendment, the Oregon American Civil Liberties Union says.
Patriot Prayer group leader Joey Gibson says he supports the idea of anti-mask legislation.
“The second the mask come off, they even act polite,” Gibson reportedly said.
“If Ted Wheeler is tired of the national attention, all they have to do is enforce a no-mask law,” he continued.
Do you think that this law should be approved in Portland?
