President Trump Breaks Silence After AG Tells Congress No Evidence of Collusion: ‘An Illegal Takedown That Failed’

On Sunday, President Donald Trump celebrated Attorney General William Barr’s address to Congress in which he delivered the conclusions in special counsel Robert Mueller’s “Trump-Russia collusion” investigation.

Trump took to twitter and wrote:

No Collusion, No Obstruction, Complete and Total EXONERATION. KEEP AMERICA GREAT!” the president tweeted on Sunday morning. Then: “MAKE AMERICAN GREAT AGAIN.” And to begin the day, he wrote: “Good Morning, Have a Great Day!

On Sunday, the president took a moment to speak to reporters about the conclusion of the Mueller report:

So after a long look, after a long investigation, after so many people have been so badly hurt, after not looking at the other side, where a lot of bad things happened, a lot of horrible things happened, a lot of very bad things happened for our country, it was just announced there was no collusion with Russia, the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. There was no collusion with Russia. There was no obstruction and none whatsoever. And it was a complete and total exoneration.

It’s a shame that our country had to go through this. To be honest, it’s a shame that your president has had to go through this for — before I even got elected, it began. And it began illegally. And hopefully, somebody’s going to look at the other side. This was an illegal takedown that failed, and hopefully somebody’s going to be looking at the other side.

So it’s complete exoneration. No collusion — no obstruction. Thank you very much.

The report that Special Counsel Robert Mueller delivered to Attorney General William Barr on Friday did not establish that the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it conspired or coordinated with the Russian government to influence the 2016 election, and Attorney General Barr determined that President Trump did not commit obstruction of justice to cover up a crime that never occurred.

These are the two related quotes from Barr’s report:

  • ”The investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.”
  • ”Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and I have concluded that the evidence developed during the Special Counsel’s investigation is not sufficient to establish that the President committed an obstruction of justice offense.”

The liberal media, Democrat politicians and celebrities are already throwing Mueller under a buss and marginalizing him and claiming he is part of a conspiracy.
