Five Secret Service rental vehicles that were used by President Biden and his retinue over the Thanksgiving weekend are now burned. The Secret Service vehicles burst into flames in a parking lot on Monday, just one day after the president left from his Nantucket vacation. (Video above.)
Biden and his family spent Thanksgiving at the island retreat. As reported by Fox News, the Secret Service rented five vehicles from Hertz for the president and his family. All five of them caught fire in the parking lot, according to footage that was first obtained by the Nantucket Current.
Firefighters sprayed down the smoking remains of one the vehicles. The five vehicles included: A Chevy Suburban, Ford Explorer, Infiniti QX80, Ford Expedition, and Jeep Gladiator.
“At approximately 5:22 am Airport shift staff observed an active fire in the rental car overflow area through the Airport’s Closed Circuit Television System,” the airport said in a statement to the Current. “Staff activated the Alert system and responded to the fire in Airport-3, where they were met by responding units from Nantucket Fire Department and Nantucket Police Department.”
“Combined fire resources responded and contained the fire. Several vehicles were damaged. The Airport is currently coordinating with rental car agencies and agency partners to ensure scene safety, There is no longer an active fire at this time: the Airport is open, and aeronautical operations are not affected,” the statement continued.
It is unknown why five different vehicles would burst into flames on an airport tarmac, but there is virtually no chance that this is a case of spontaneous self-immolation. These are five different kinds of vehicles. Burning cars is often done when criminals or government agents wish to dispose of evidence.

These are the rental vehicles that were facing each other and had their front ends totaled by the fire. Five are being towed away:
• Chevy Suburban
• Ford Explorer
• Infiniti QX80
• Ford Expedition
• Jeep Gladiator
The cars were owned by Hertz, and had just been returned by members of the Secret Service who had been using them during President Biden’s visit, sources said.
There are a lot of people convinced that someone tried to take out Biden.
Now, I am not sure how burning his cars in an airport is trying to “takeout” Joe, but many think it was a plot that went wrong. Here’s just a sample of what folks are saying online.
“I don’t care what anyone says, this is not normal, and someone tried to take out Joe and the plan was botched.”
“They tried to take the Big Guy out, but something went wrong”
Others think there are some different nefarious things going on:
“I’m not believing it for a second. ONLY the 5 cars rented by the Bidens caught on fire? And they all just happened to be sitting adjacent to each other in the parking lot? Someone wanted to destroy evidence, imo. And with this family, ANYTHING is possible.”
“Something doesn’t smell right here. Maybe a message being sent to Joe?”
I know these folks in the SS know their jobs, but it is just shocking to me that the leader (chuckle) of the free world travels around an island in a Hertz Rental Car. One would think HIS vehicle–of all–would be non-negotiable. Even a ferry can bring the vehicles to the island. Odd.
