Video: FEMA’s Disaster Meeting Focuses on Migrants’ Pronouns While Ignoring Americans Losing Homes to Floods—You Can’t Make This Up

As Hurricane Helene devastates Western North Carolina, with death tolls reportedly surpassing 1,000, many are left wondering where the aid is. While Americans struggle to survive the aftermath of one of the deadliest hurricanes in recent memory, FEMA appears to have other priorities. A recent FEMA disaster preparedness meeting has sparked outrage after footage revealed the agency’s concern over the misgendering of undocumented immigrant trans women in shelters—yes, you read that right.

In a video making its rounds online, a FEMA representative is heard stressing the importance of addressing LGBTQIA issues during disaster relief efforts. “LGTBQIA people are already struggling… You add a disaster on top of that, and it’s just compounding on itself,” the spokesperson said. While Americans are drowning, losing homes, and struggling for basic necessities, FEMA seems more focused on gender identity politics than actually providing life-saving assistance.

The stark contrast between how the Biden administration is handling this crisis and previous administrations couldn’t be more obvious. Under President Bush, aid was being sent immediately to victims of Hurricane Katrina, despite the media’s criticism. But under Biden and Harris, the response to Helene has been lackluster at best, with FEMA allegedly blocking aid while focusing on politically charged issues like misgendering.

To make matters worse, there are also reports that FEMA funding is being diverted to support illegal immigrants through the Shelter and Services Program, leaving many Americans high and dry. As the nation watches the growing disaster unfold, many are asking: Where is the real help?

Please pray for those affected. While FEMA may be failing them, God will not.
