This particular event followed a Labor Day campaign appearance alongside Kamala Harris, where Biden was abruptly shooed off the stage by the Democratic Presidential nominee, reinforcing doubts about his position and authority.
During the “Investing in America” event, Biden spoke with several individuals, including a cancer patient, and touted four pieces of legislation passed by Congress: the American Rescue Plan, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, CHIPS For America, and the Inflation Reduction Act. However, it was what happened after his speech that really set off alarm bells.
As Biden wrapped up, he was bombarded by reporters with challenging questions, particularly about the recent discovery of Israeli-American hostage Hersh Goldberg-Polin and five other Jewish hostages who were murdered by Hamas. Biden’s inadequate and blame-shifting response, which pointed fingers at Israel, sparked outrage.
What happened next was a truly puzzling sight. Biden, looking confused and unsure, flashed a strange grin, fumbled with his binder, and appeared completely lost. A middle-aged man then arrived to guide him out of the room, essentially rescuing him from the situation.
