BREAKING: Eight Children, Ages 18 Months to 15 Years, Dead in Louisiana Mass Shooting

Eight children ranging in age from 18 months to 15 years old were killed early Sunday morning after a domestic dispute escalated into a horrific mass shooting in Louisiana.

The shootings happened around 6:00 a.m. A total of 10 people were shot. In addition to the eight children who died, two adult women were also shot and survived their injuries. One of the women is believed to be in a relationship with the suspect and is in critical condition after being shot in the head.

Police say some of the child victims were related to the suspect. Shreveport Police Chief Wayne Smith described the crime scene as extensive and spread across multiple locations.

The suspect fled the scene by carjacking a vehicle at gunpoint. Officers pursued him into neighboring Bossier City, where he was fatally shot by law enforcement. No officers were injured.

This is one of the deadliest domestic-related shootings involving children in recent Louisiana history. The investigation remains active as authorities work to process multiple crime scenes and piece together the full sequence of events. No motive beyond the initial domestic dispute has been released, and the suspect’s identity has not yet been made public.

KSLA reported live from the scene as a prayer service was held for the victims.

Our hearts go out to the families devastated by this unimaginable tragedy. Eight innocent children gone in a single morning. This level of violence is heartbreaking and demands answers.
