You know that sinking feeling when someone spins a tale of oppression only for the truth to come crashing down like a house of cards? That’s Rep. Adelita Grijalva (D-AZ) in a nutshell. Fresh off trying to block an ICE operation in Tucson, Arizona, on November 16, 2025, she posted a video claiming agents “pushed aside and pepper-sprayed” her and her staff, turning herself into the ultimate victim. “I was here… and was sprayed in the face by a very aggressive agent, pushed around by others, when I literally was not being aggressive,” Grijalva said, coughing dramatically for effect.

ICE just conducted a raid by Taco Giro in Tucson – a small mom-and-pop restaurant that has served our community for years.

But here’s where it unravels: DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin called BS, stating Grijalva “wasn’t pepper sprayed” but was “in the vicinity of someone who was” while obstructing and assaulting law enforcement. Two officers ended up seriously injured by the mob she joined. White House deputy press secretary Abigail Marone added, “Being a Member of Congress doesn’t give you the ‘right’ to inject yourself into an ongoing law enforcement operation, obstruct, and demand information.” Newly released video seals the deal—Grijalva’s own cameraman shoved her aside, not ICE, as the crowd swarmed.

The image from the video shows Grijalva in a red blouse, necklace glinting, standing on a sunny street with palm trees and a taco truck in the background—her composed look belying the chaos she helped create. No smeared makeup, no red eyes from spray—just a politician greenlighting interference in a dangerous raid targeting violent criminal illegals.
Grijalva and her staff joined a group blocking 40 masked agents, turning a routine op into a circus. She demands “clarification” as her right, but obstructing feds endangers everyone. DHS: “Presenting one’s self as a ‘Member of Congress’ doesn’t give you the right to obstruct law enforcement.” Instead of apologizing to the injured officers, she’s out here playing martyr, inspiring more “woketivists” to meddle.
This is peak Democrat hypocrisy: cry “racism” to shield criminals, then feign victimhood when consequences bite. The left’s “resistance” is just chaos for clicks—time for charges against Grijalva, not excuses. Midterms are coming; vote for leaders who back law and order, not obstruct it.
