A workplace violence threat posted to a transgender woman support group led authorities to a woman with dozens of guns, history mental health concerns, & Nazi, racist, & antisemitic online posts
Authorities have charged an Oregon woman who they say posted threats to her workplace on a Facebook transgender woman support group and for months posted a series of pro-Nazi and antisemitic comments on Twitter/X. Following a court-order search, FBI agents also seized 27 guns from her house this week. On Friday, Elizabeth West, 34, was charged federally with communicating a threat. According to court records, in late September, West posted to the transgender Facebook support group that “I’m too old to keep looking for jobs and I’ve had it up to here being bullied by transphobic assholes I am left with no alternative. I’ll probably have to go out in a blaze of glory…I’m just gonna have to do what I have to do and pray for the gods to forgive me.” The posting allegedly included a picture of two firearms.
Court records, which haven’t been previously reported on, state that two days after the workplace online threat, West was interviewed by FBI agents, where she stated she wrote the post because she already was upset over an interaction she had with someone on Facebook, who according to documents “had a gender reassignment surgery and didn’t have to pay for anything out-of-pocket for it. This made West very upset, as she desperately wanted surgery but knew she would have to pay for it out-of-pocket.”
Two months later, the FBI learned that West had a X, formerly known as Twitter, account with a profile picture of a Nazi flag, says an FBI affadivit. For two weeks, the FBI monitored the public account, where “West posted and reposted multiple memes, videos and statements that contained violence toward black and Jewish people and immigrants, images of weapons owned, idolizing Hitler and the Nazi flag.”
His X biography describes himself as “A Nazi dominatrix from Hell, who is tired of the blackening of America and Europe and ready to stand up to the Black orcs and the Jewish Wizards.”
West’s hatred toward minority groups comes from his embrace of left-wing gender ideology. For example, he detests black people because they often “misgender” him. He also loathes immigrants because he learned one on Oregon’s public healthcare plan got free transgender surgery, while West would have to pay for his gender surgery.
Despite these facts, the FBI characterized him in the affidavit as a right-wing terrorist. The affidavit references “far-right terror,” “white supremacy,” and “alt-right extremism.”
After months of monitoring, FBI agents arrested West on January 9 after being alerted of a gun purchase as the Daily Wire reported. The justification the FBI used to charge him was the transgenderism-fueled Facebook post from September.
According to federal agents and court records, West is being held at the Lane County Jail. The investigation remains ongoing.
