This is what radical left activism looks like in 2025.
In Newark, New Jersey, a mob of leftists showed up at the ICE detention facility and decided to turn the area into their personal protest zone. They raided a dumpster and started building barricades out of trash to block the entrance and exit, trying to stop federal agents from doing their jobs.

Federal agents weren’t having it. They responded with pepper balls, pepper spray, and tear gas, physically dragging rioters away and making arrests. The scene quickly turned into a war zone as law enforcement pushed back hard against the mob.

Even Democrat Senator Andy Kim showed up to “help” the protesters. He tried to get between the rioters and federal agents, only to end up getting pepper-sprayed himself. Medics had to wash out his eyes on the spot.

This is the chaos Democrats and their activist allies create when they decide federal law enforcement is the enemy. They’re not peacefully protesting — they’re actively trying to obstruct immigration enforcement and shield illegal aliens from deportation. When agents enforce the law, the left cries “brutality.” When they don’t, they celebrate open borders.
President Trump has been crystal clear: the days of weak, hands-off enforcement are over. His administration is restoring law and order, securing the border, and ending the catch-and-release insanity that flooded the country with millions of illegal immigrants. Scenes like this in Newark show exactly why that fight is necessary. Leftist mobs feel emboldened because they’ve been coddled for years. Now they’re learning there are consequences.
The American people are watching. They see the difference between the chaos of blue-city governance and the strength Trump is bringing back. No more tolerating riots, barricades made of trash, or politicians who side with lawbreakers over law enforcement.
Federal agents did what they had to do. The left can scream all they want — the rule of law is finally being enforced again.
