Speaker Nancy Pelosi invited the U.S. women’s national soccer team to visit the Capitol after their stunning 2-0 victory over the Netherlands in the World Cup final.
Pelosi congratulated the team for winning with “strength, unity and patriotism” and extended the invitation “by popular, bipartisan demand” with Reps. Kathy Castor and Darin LaHood
Pelosi wrote:
Congrats to @uswnt for winning w/ strength, unity & patriotism. By popular, bipartisan demand & with @USRepKCastor & @RepLaHood, co-chairs of Soccer Caucus, I’m pleased to invite the players to the US Capitol as a team or individually to celebrate your inspiring victory.

Following their repeat World Cup win in Lyon, France, the team was celebrating on the field and posing for photos when Long dropped the flag she was holding. She and Rapinoe then stepped forward, leaving the flag underfoot. They continued to pose for the cameras as one of their teammates rushed forward to grab the flag.
Watch the video below:
You should be disturbed by this unpatriotic narcissistic behavior. @mPinoe is neither a hero or a role model. I rewound and watched the entire celebration on the field. Rapinoe didn’t want anything to do with an #Americanflag before she stomped it. #repulsive pic.twitter.com/Kevbe7jJYt

Fox News reported that Kelley O’Hara, who was knocked out of the match with concussion-like symptoms, was praised, however, for running in and picking the flag up soon after it had been dropped.
Maybe all of the girls are not bad but what the world have seen from their leaders and stars Allie Long, Megan Rapinoe is definitely not a sign of patriotism and they didn’t show respect for their country as Nancy said!
