Trump Welcomes China’s Call For ‘Calm’ Trade Talks

President Trump is sure he can win in the trade war with China.

He even tweeted the ” Emergency Economic Powers Act of 1977″ which gives the President power to force U.S. companies to leave China.

The ongoing trade war is in the focus of the attention on the G-7 summit.

Speaking to reporters at the G7 summit in Biarritz, France, the president was asked whether he had thought twice about his decision to impose tariffs.

This morning China itself decided to ask for “calm” trade talks.

President Donald Trump has said the US and China will “very shortly” resume trade talks after a weekend of escalating tension with Beijing.

“China called last night… said let’s get back to the table. So we’ll be getting back to the table,” he said.
