Why CNN thought it was smart to interview grade school kids about politics is beyond us—but hey, it made for some savage moments. Kids, the most honest critics around, didn’t hold back.
In a desperate attempt to inject some positive PR for Kamala Harris, CNN thought it was a bright idea to visit a local elementary school and ask children about their thoughts on the current political climate. Spoiler alert: it didn’t go as planned. Children, often touted as the most honest group on the planet, gave the reporter an earful, and it wasn’t exactly the glowing endorsement CNN hoped for.
It all started when the CNN reporter, likely expecting some sweet and innocent comments, asked a young boy what he thought of Kamala Harris. What happened next sent shockwaves through the segment. The boy looked straight at the camera and, without hesitation, uttered just one word: “Liar.”

The reporter, stunned by the brutal honesty, struggled to recover from the unexpected answer. The attempt to paint Kamala in a favorable light had just backfired spectacularly. But as if that wasn’t bad enough for the network, things only got worse when the reporter turned to a little girl, likely hoping to turn the conversation around.
But this young girl didn’t exactly deliver the feel-good moment CNN was likely hoping for either. While acknowledging it would be significant for America to have its first Black woman as president, she followed it up with a line that left the reporter speechless: “My vote’s kinda still on Trump.”

Hilarious, but can’t we let kids have a childhood? They have their whole lives to be depressed about politics.
