This one’s pretty funny.
Senator Ted Cruz was meeting King Charles III and did the natural dad thing — he brought his two daughters over to say hello. What started as a nice, normal introduction turned into an awkward but hilarious moment when the King dropped a classic dry British joke on them.
The King basically teased that the girls were going to flunk their exams because they were out with their dad instead of studying. Ted looked caught off guard for a second, then jumped in laughing and insisted they really are studying right now.

The King’s jab landed perfectly, and Ted’s quick “no no, they’re hitting the books!” recovery made it even better. It was one of those rare lighthearted moments in politics where nobody’s mad, nobody’s grandstanding — just a dad getting playfully roasted by actual royalty.
In a time when everything feels heavy, it’s nice to see something this innocent and human. Even if you’re not the biggest Ted Cruz fan, you have to admit it was a wholesome little clip.
