Jonathan Kaye, the NYC banker who went viral last month for hitting someone during a Pride event, has had the full footage of the incident released, revealing more context to the altercation. Initially, a short clip showed Kaye knocking out a person in Brooklyn, but it did not capture the entire story.
On Monday, Kaye turned himself in on second and third-degree assault charges. The newly released footage shows a group of pro-Palestine LGBTQ activists taunting Kaye before escalating the situation by throwing liquid at him. The situation intensified when Kaye was struck in the face with a bottle, prompting him to charge at one of the individuals, knocking them to the ground.

Even after this video, the victim in this case could end up in jail under “woke” NY laws:
While these ‘Queers for Palestine’ incited a response and are incredibly obnoxious, I’m unsure if he was justified to KO someone.
I would like to hear @iancorzine‘s take.

His response was 100% morally justified.
The incident, which initially painted Kaye as the aggressor, now shows that he was provoked before retaliating. Despite this context, Kaye has since resigned from his position at Moelis & Co. investment bank.
So far, no charges have been filed for the initial aggressors!
