New Footage Shows Car Set On Fire By Alleged Antifa Protester In Attack On ICE Detention Center

The man who attacked an Immigration and Customs Enforcement center last month echoed Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s description of detention centers as “concentration camps” in a manifesto he published before the attack.

Willem Van Spronsen, who identified himself as a member of the left-wing Antifa movement in his manifesto, died in the shootout after storming an ICE center in Tacoma, Washington, armed with flares and a rifle. Van Spronsen, 69, reportedly attempted to ignite a propane tank on the premises in order to burn down the facility.

Now video of the event was released.

A private company that manages Immigration and Customs Enforcement facilities and offices nationwide released new video that shows the moments after a self-described antifa supporter set ablaze a vehicle outside the agency’s Tacoma, Washington, detention facility where more than 1,000 illegal immigrants were being held.

The GEO Group shared with the Washington Examiner a two-minute video that shows a car on fire outside the facility shortly after the attacker, Vashon Island resident Willem Van Spronsen, torched it outside the Northwest Detention Center July 13.

In the video, you will see the life-threatening fire develop. You will also hear what may be the sound of the gunshots that took down the antifa-inspired arsonist Willem Van Spronsen as a result of his actions.

The Washington Examiner reported that former acting ICE Director Tom Homan said Thursday the incident could have killed more than 1,300 people in custody as well as the 100 ICE personnel on site had it not been for local Tacoma law enforcement’s quick response.
