Rep. Matt Gaetz filed an Act with the House of Representatives, which he calls the “PENCIL Act,” to have Adam Schiff removed from the House Intelligence Committee and his security clearance revoked.
The reasons stated in the resolution are how Schiff abused his privileges in an attempt to deceive everyone by repeatedly repeating Trump-Russia collusion stories to perpetuate a hoax. Gaetz claims that because of this, Schiff can no longer be trusted.
Gaetz took to twitter on Thursday and wrote, “#BREAKING: Today I filed the ‘PENCIL Act,’ expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that ‘Congressman Adam Schiff should be removed from the House Intelligence Committee and his security clearance immediately revoked.”
Along with the tweet Gaetz attached a copy of the resolution.

In the resolution, Gaetz writes that Schiff is among the “Gang of Eight” members of Congress with access to “America’s most sensitive intelligence,” and Schiff has repeatedly abused that privilege to spread falsehoods and he now has no credibility with Congress and the country.
The resolution cites specific instances in March and December 2017 where Schiff publicly claimed Trump colluded with Russians to win the 2016 election. In the resolution, Gaetz wrote that Schiff has recently repeated that claim in February 2019 along with the claim that there is “ample evidence of collusion of the campaign” with Russia.
The resolution points out that Schiff has continued to make Trump-Russia collusion claims even after Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s two-year investigation yielded no evidence of collusion.
“Congressman Schiff continues to claim there is ‘ample’ evidence of Trump-Russia collusion ‘in plain sight’ without offering any evidence to prove his claims,” the resolution reads.
“Congressman Schiff has proven himself untrustworthy by advancing falsities about the President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, as relating to unfounded allegations of collusion with the Russian Federation.”
The resolution concludes:
It is the sense of the House of Representatives that Congressman Adam Schiff should be removed from the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence of the House and that his security clearance should be revoked immediately.
At a rally in Grand Rapids Michigan President Trump said:
“Little pencil-neck Adam Schiff. He’s got the smallest, thinnest neck I’ve ever seen,” Trump told thousands at the massive rally. “He is not a long-ball hitter, but I saw him today, ‘Well we don’t really know, there still could have been some Russia collusion.
“Sick, sick,” Trump said. “These are sick people and there has to be accountability because it is all lies and they know it’s lies.”
Although it is obvious that the “PENCIL” in the PENCIL Act is to jab at Schiff by playing on the President calling him “Little Pencil Neck Adam Schiff,” it is also an acronym for “Preventing Extreme Negligence with Classified Information Licenses” Act.
